Our Story
A Journey from Humble Beginnings to Aviation Collectible Hub
Airplane Models @ SG was founded on December 22, 2010, by 2 enterprising teenagers, Robin and Dominique, who were inspired by their father’s work in the aviation industry and his passion for airplane models. What began as a small pushcart operation at SAFRA Tampines, quickly became a family business as their younger brother Clement joined the venture.
The idea behind Airplane Models @ SG was to share our love for aviation collectibles while creating a space for like-minded enthusiasts to come together. The brothers applied what were learned from their entrepreneurship course and applied it to the fledgling business, blending passion for aviation and entrepreneurial spirit. It was a humble start, with our family running the weekend hobby store as a bonding activity, driven by their shared love for airplane models and their dedication to nurturing the hobby.
In the early days, the business moved through various locations, including flea markets, ITE College East, NTU, Changi Village, Woodlands HDB block void decks, China Square Central, and Fook Hai Building. Our home also served as the business address until February 2020, when Airplane Models @ SG settled into its current permanent store at 71 Geylang Lorong 23 opposite Aljunied MRT Station.
The journey wasn’t always easy, but each step taught the team valuable lessons about resilience, customer relationships, and the importance of staying true to our roots. Over the years, the ethos of Airplane Models @ SG has remained grounded in these values, with a focus on providing quality products and fostering a community of aviation enthusiasts.
Now, more than a decade later, Airplane Models @ SG has become one of the leading destinations for collectors of aviation models in Singapore.
What We Sell
Our collection features meticulously crafted airplane models, including diecast and resin options, ranging from different scales such as 1:200, 1:400, and 1:500, all designed to replicate iconic aircraft like the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777.
Available in various scales, our models cater to both casual buyers and serious collectors, bringing the beauty of aviation into any space.
